void Thaw()
void Thaw();
| Exception | Description |
|---|---|
| System.InvalidOperationException | A method call was invalid for the object's current state. This is a usage error, i.e. it will never occur (the exception will not be thrown) in a correctly written program. Your code should not catch this exception. |
| System.ObjectDisposedException | An operation was performed on a disposed object. |
Freezing a device can be used to force it to publish a death message; this mechanism is internally used by the ISparkplugDeviceExtension.PerformRebirth method. You will rarely need to freeze a device from your own code for other purposes.
The calls to Freeze and Thaw must be paired; the device keep an internal freeze count, and is frozen whenever the freeze count is not zero.
The device must currently be frozen when you call this method; otherwise, an System.InvalidOperationException is thrown.
You can use the IsFrozen property to determine whether the device is currently frozen.
