Syntax
'Declaration

<ValueRangeAttribute(Mono.Cecil.CustomAttributeArgument, Mono.Cecil.CustomAttributeArgument)>
Public Property Severity As UASeverity
'Usage

Dim instance As UAStatusCode
Dim value As UASeverity

instance.Severity = value

value = instance.Severity
[ValueRange(Mono.Cecil.CustomAttributeArgument, Mono.Cecil.CustomAttributeArgument)]
public UASeverity Severity {get; set;}
[ValueRange(Mono.Cecil.CustomAttributeArgument, Mono.Cecil.CustomAttributeArgument)]
public:
property UASeverity Severity {
   UASeverity get();
   void set (    UASeverity value);
}

Property Value

Valid values of this property are in the range from GoodOrSuccess (UASeverity.GoodOrSuccess) to 3.

The default value of this property is GoodOrSuccess (UASeverity.GoodOrSuccess).

Because the UAStatusCode has an implicit conversions from UASeverity, in languages that support implicit conversion operators (such as C# or VB.NET), you can simply use he returned UASeverity (representing the severity code) in any place where UAStatusCode is expected as input, and the corresponding OPC UA status code will be constructed automatically. When the implicit conversion operators are not supported (such as with Python.NET), you can use the FromInt64 or FromUASeverity static method instead.

Exceptions
ExceptionDescription

The value of an argument is outside the allowable range of values as defined by the invoked method.

This is a usage error, i.e. it will never occur (the exception will not be thrown) in a correctly written program. Your code should not catch this exception.
