RequiresResolution Method (UAWriterGroupDescriptor)

OpcLabs.EasyOpcUA Assembly > OpcLabs.EasyOpc.UA.PubSub Namespace > UAWriterGroupDescriptor Class : RequiresResolution Method
The URI string of the PubSub transport profile.

The value of this parameter cannot be null (Nothing in Visual Basic).

The value of this parameter can be null (Nothing in Visual Basic).

Determines whether the (standard) topic tree is used.
Determines whether this PubSub object descriptor requires a resolution (in order to obtain the necessary physical information) with specified transport profile URI string.
Syntax
'Declaration

Public Overrides NotOverridable Function RequiresResolution( _
   ByVal transportProfileUriString As String, _
   ByVal assumeTopicTree As Boolean _
) As Boolean
'Usage

Dim instance As UAWriterGroupDescriptor
Dim transportProfileUriString As String
Dim assumeTopicTree As Boolean
Dim value As Boolean

value = instance.RequiresResolution(transportProfileUriString, assumeTopicTree)
public override bool RequiresResolution(
   string transportProfileUriString,
   bool assumeTopicTree
)
public:
bool RequiresResolution(
   String^ transportProfileUriString,
   bool assumeTopicTree
) override

Parameters

transportProfileUriString
The URI string of the PubSub transport profile.

The value of this parameter cannot be null (Nothing in Visual Basic).

The value of this parameter can be null (Nothing in Visual Basic).

assumeTopicTree
Determines whether the (standard) topic tree is used.

Return Value

Returns true if the PubSub object descriptor requires resolution with the transport profile specified by transportProfileUriString; returns false otherwise.
Remarks

When topic tree is assumed (assumeTopicTree is true), the writer group descriptor never requires resolution.

This method is pure, i.e. it does not have observable side effects.
