'Usage

Dim instance As _NotifyingWidget

Property Value

Exceptions
ExceptionDescription

One of the arguments provided to a method is not valid.

This is a usage error, i.e. it will never occur (the exception will not be thrown) in a correctly written program. Your code should not catch this exception.

A null reference (Nothing in Visual Basic) is passed to a method that does not accept it as a valid argument.

This is a usage error, i.e. it will never occur (the exception will not be thrown) in a correctly written program. Your code should not catch this exception.

Remarks

The thread is automatically started when a new notification arrives.

This property allows fine-tuning of the internal notification processing mechanism. Setting a lower value can help conserve system resources by allowing the internal processing thread to stop during periods of inactivity. However, setting this value too low might result in frequent stopping and starting of the thread, which could negatively impact performance. A value of -1 can be used to keep the thread running indefinitely, which might be desirable in scenarios where quick reaction time is important.
