Implicit Type Conversion(ResourceDescriptor,String) Operator

The string to be converted.

The value of this parameter can be null (Nothing in Visual Basic).

Converts a System.String to a resource descriptor.

Parameters

descriptorString
The string to be converted.

The value of this parameter can be null (Nothing in Visual Basic).

Return Value

For a non-null input, returns the resource descriptor with the given URL string. Returns null if the input is null.

This method never returns null (Nothing in Visual Basic).

Remarks

A generic string is used instead of System.Uri, because in some cases, the value may not represent a real URI.

For non-null inputs, this operator is equivalent to ResourceDescriptor Constructor(String).

This method or property does not throw any exceptions, aside from execution exceptions such as System.Threading.ThreadAbortException or System.OutOfMemoryException.
