ResourceAddress Constructor(ResourceDescriptor)

OpcLabs.BaseLib Assembly > OpcLabs.BaseLib.Networking Namespace > ResourceAddress Class > ResourceAddress Constructor : ResourceAddress Constructor(ResourceDescriptor)
The resource descriptor to be used in the resource address.

Because the OpcLabs.BaseLib.ResourceDescriptor has implicit conversions from System.String and System.Uri, in languages that support implicit conversion operators (such as C# or VB.NET), you can simply use a string (usually representing the resource URL), or a System.Uri object, in place of this parameter, and the corresponding resource descriptor will be constructed automatically. When the implicit conversion operators are not supported (such as with Python.NET), you can use the OpcLabs.BaseLib.ResourceDescriptor.FromString or OpcLabs.BaseLib.ResourceDescriptor.FromUri static method instead.

The value of this parameter cannot be null (Nothing in Visual Basic).

Creates a resource address from a resource descriptor.

Parameters

resourceDescriptor
The resource descriptor to be used in the resource address.

The value of this parameter cannot be null (Nothing in Visual Basic).

Remarks

In languages that support implicit conversions (such as C# or VB.NET), in many cases you do not have call this constructor explicitly. When indicated, a call to an available equivalent implicit conversion operator will be created by the compiler automatically.
