Implicit Type Conversion(SparkplugBrokerDescriptor,String) Operator
Example

OpcLabs.EasySparkplug Assembly > OpcLabs.EasySparkplug Namespace > SparkplugBrokerDescriptor Class > Implicit Type Conversion Operator : Implicit Type Conversion(SparkplugBrokerDescriptor,String) Operator
A string that represents the broker descriptor, typically a URL or connection string. If null, an empty string is used.

The value of this parameter can be null (Nothing in Visual Basic).

Converts a descriptor string to a Sparkplug broker descriptor.
Syntax
'Declaration

<JetBrains.Annotations.NotNullAttribute()>
Overloads Public Operator Widening CType( _
   ByVal descriptorString As String _
) As SparkplugBrokerDescriptor
'Usage

[JetBrains.Annotations.NotNull()]
public SparkplugBrokerDescriptor operator implicit(
   string descriptorString
)
[JetBrains.Annotations.NotNull()]
public:
operator SparkplugBrokerDescriptor^ (
   String^ descriptorString
)

Parameters

descriptorString
A string that represents the broker descriptor, typically a URL or connection string. If null, an empty string is used.

The value of this parameter can be null (Nothing in Visual Basic).

Return Value

A new SparkplugBrokerDescriptor initialized with the specified descriptor string.

This method never returns null (Nothing in Visual Basic).

Remarks

This operator is equivalent to FromString.

This operator allows you to conveniently use a URL string, such as "mqtt://myhost.mydomain.com", in place of the Sparkplug broker descriptor (in languages that support implicit conversions, such as C# or VB.NET).

This method or property does not throw any exceptions, aside from execution exceptions such as System.Threading.ThreadAbortException or System.OutOfMemoryException.
