FromInt64 Method (AEEventType)

OpcLabs.EasyOpcClassicCore Assembly > OpcLabs.EasyOpc.AlarmsAndEvents Namespace > AEEventType Class : FromInt64 Method
Numerical value to be converted.
Converts a numerical bit-coded value to an AEEventType object.
Syntax
'Declaration

<JetBrains.Annotations.NotNullAttribute()>
Public Shared Function FromInt64( _
   ByVal value As Long _
) As AEEventType
'Usage

Dim value As Long
Dim value As AEEventType

value = AEEventType.FromInt64(value)
[JetBrains.Annotations.NotNull()]
public static AEEventType FromInt64(
   long value
)
[JetBrains.Annotations.NotNull()]
public:
static AEEventType^ FromInt64(
   int64 value
)

Parameters

value
Numerical value to be converted.

Return Value

Returns an AEEventType object converted from the input argument.

Because there is an implicit conversion from AEEventType to System.Int64 and AEEventTypes, in languages that support implicit conversion operators (such as C# or VB.NET), you can simply use the return value in place of a System.Int64 (representing the numerical value of the event types), or in place a AEEventTypes enumeration value. When the implicit conversion operators are not supported (such as with Python.NET), you can use the ToInt64 or ToAEEventTypes static method instead.

This method never returns null (Nothing in Visual Basic).

Remarks

In languages that support implicit conversions (such as C# or VB.NET), in many cases you do not have call this method explicitly. When indicated, a call to an available equivalent implicit conversion operator will be created by the compiler automatically.
