TryParse Method (UANodeId)

Expanded text of the node Id.
The default namespace to be used if no namespace is specified in the input string.
The converted node Id object.
Converts the string representation of an OPC-UA node Id to equivalent node Id object. A return value indicates whether the conversion succeeded.

Parameters

s
Expanded text of the node Id.
defaultNamespaceUriString
The default namespace to be used if no namespace is specified in the input string.
nodeId
The converted node Id object.

Return Value

Returns null if s was converted successfully; otherwise, returns an error object that describes the problem.
Exceptions
ExceptionDescription

A null reference (Nothing in Visual Basic) is passed to a method that does not accept it as a valid argument.

This is a usage error, i.e. it will never occur (the exception will not be thrown) in a correctly written program. Your code should not catch this exception.
