BitsFromValue(PrimitiveDataType,UInt64,Int32) Method

OpcLabs.BaseLib Assembly > OpcLabs.BaseLib.DataTypeModel Namespace > SequenceData Class > BitsFromValue Method : BitsFromValue(PrimitiveDataType,UInt64,Int32) Method
The primitive data type to be associated with the elements.
The value to be converted to a sequence of bits.
The number of bits from the value to be converted.
Creates sequence data as a sequence of primitive data elements of System.Boolean type representing the bits of a given value.Creates sequence data from bits of an unsigned integer value, given the primitive data type for the bits.

Parameters

bitDataType
The primitive data type to be associated with the elements.
value
The value to be converted to a sequence of bits.
bitCount
The number of bits from the value to be converted.

Return Value

Returns a sequence data with PrimitiveData elements consisting of bitCount bits from the value.
Exceptions
ExceptionDescription

The value of an argument is outside the allowable range of values as defined by the invoked method.

This is a usage error, i.e. it will never occur (the exception will not be thrown) in a correctly written program. Your code should not catch this exception.

Remarks
This method overloads synthetizes a new sequence data type using bitDataType and associates it with the sequence data.
Requirements
